Normally we work with businesses and organizations once they have made a decision to implement one or more of the international or national standards and pursue certification. However, if your organization is undecided about whether to pursue certification, we can facilitate a free Executive Overview working session with your management team to help them reach a decision.

The Executive Overview includes a review of the requirements of the standard, the process of implementation, a suggested time frame, costs, and the benefits to an organization.

A service QED Consulting provides is a Business Process Audit. This is a baseline assessment of the internal processes of an organization. With the results of this assessment, we produce an Executive Summary of the findings, which includes strengths and weaknesses of the business and recommendations for business/process improvement.

This is the process equivalent of a financial audit. Together, the financial and the process audits, provide a comprehensive overview of an organization that may be used to establish value. This will advantage a buyer or seller, as it will indicate the degree to which the business is efficient and effective. In addition, the Business Process Audit may be used as a starting point for business improvement.

Two of us, with a combined total of more than 50 years experience in quality management and process improvement, perform these audits. Depending on the size, number of locations and complexity (e.g., is it a manufacturer who manufactures from blueprints that are provided, or is it a manufacturer who also designs and develops new products?) of a business, we contract for a certain number of days. During our audit we interview top and middle management, sample evidence of processes and performance, analyze the data and write the Executive Summary.
